Chennai: Swiss independent luxury watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. is sharpening its focus on India’s growing luxury consumption market, hosting an exclusive private viewing event in Chennai as part of its broader strategy to deepen engagement with high-net-worth collectors and enthusiasts.

The event, hosted by Nicholas Hofmann in partnership with Ethos Watches, underscores the brand’s increasing investment in India, one of the fastest-growing luxury markets globally.

Held at Q Bar - Hilton Chennai, the showcase brought together collectors, clients and watch enthusiasts for an intimate presentation of nearly 30 timepieces from H. Moser & Cie.’s portfolio.

Featured models included the Endeavour Tourbillon Skeleton, Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton, Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic and select references from the Pioneer collection, highlighting the brand’s emphasis on mechanical innovation and understated luxury.

The company also introduced newer Streamliner references with more compact dimensions, reflecting changing consumer preferences toward versatile and wearable luxury timepieces.

The Chennai event forms part of a wider collector engagement strategy that has already seen H. Moser & Cie. host curated showcases across major metropolitan markets including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Industry analysts note that India’s luxury watch segment has witnessed strong momentum in recent years, driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing interest in independent watchmaking brands and a growing base of sophisticated collectors seeking exclusivity beyond mainstream luxury labels.

Since entering India in 2019 through its exclusive retail partnership with Ethos Watches, H. Moser & Cie. has steadily expanded its footprint through boutique experiences, product launches and client-focused initiatives.

A significant milestone in the brand’s India journey came in 2025 with the launch of its first mono-brand boutique at City of Time, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the country’s premium luxury market.

As global luxury brands increasingly target India for growth, H. Moser & Cie.’s latest Chennai showcase highlights the strategic importance of experiential retail and personalized collector engagement in building brand equity within the country’s evolving luxury ecosystem.
